Hello,
I recently purchased one NUC5CPYH and I tried to install several times Linux distributions with different options without success. I am an experienced Linux user and I begin thinking that there is a hardware problem with the device.
My current hardware setup is:
- Intel NUC5CPYH with latest BIOS Version PYBSWCEL.86A.0064.2017.0815.1055
- RAM Kingston KCP3L16SS8/4 4GB (1600 MHz SODIMM, DDR3L, 1.35 V, CL11, 204 pins): bought new for this device
- SSD Patriot Torqx 2 32GB SSD: previouly used for another PC but working without error
Tests I performed:
1. I tested RAM for 10 hours with memtest56+, no error appeared.
2. Attempts to install Linux in Legacy mode with BIOS setting of OpenELEC defined in BIOS Changes Required Before Operating System Installation ()
- Arch Linux 2017.11.01 with kernel 4.13.9
- Result: Failed to boot

Please, could you tell me how I could proceed to install Linux in the device or if I should return the device??
Thanks in advance,
